Discovering Me
I believe that every life transition is an opportunity to learn something new, to discover a new version of an already amazing self. It is striving to find our true authentic voice and balance, in a fast paced world. It's discovering the part of us that may have self doubt about our worth and our capabilities; it is discovering that inner child that is seeking outside validation and love; it is discovering that anger is a secondary emotion and what is under that anger is hurt, betrayal, and/or disappointment. It is often times discovering that the part of us that hasn't been healed will continue to show up in our lives (in relationships, parenting, friendships, and even in employment). It is discovering that what we don't change only continues and these mini cycles will be repeated. But most importantly, it is discovering self-compassion and self-love. It is discovering that this is a journey, and that we can overcome adversities and create a life worth living. This is what discovering me entails.
